Multi-City Programs

How the Multi-City Program Works

This program format is designed for students who want more: more exposure, more variety, more adventure.

Instead of spending four weeks in a single location, you’ll divide your time between two complementary cities: a big city and a small town.

Shadowing in a big city (Milan, Rome, Florence)

In your first 2 weeks, you’ll get to shadow in busy, international hospitals in Milan or Rome with a wide range of specialties.

Expect diverse cases, advanced technology, and a fast-paced rhythm — perfect for students curious about big healthcare systems.

You’ll also enjoy the city’s vibrant lifestyle, from cultural landmarks to lively nights out!

You’ll spend your last 2 weeks in a smaller town like Ferrara or Alessandria, where life slows down.

You’ll get closer to your mentors, with more 1:1 shadowing time in hospitals where everyone knows each other.

You might walk or bike to the hospital, enjoy local markets, and feel part of a tight-knit community — an ideal way to end your journey on a reflective note.

Why You'll Love It

Double your experience – Two cities, twice the specialties, settings, and perspectives.

See Italian healthcare in contrast – From large teaching hospitals to intimate local hospitals.

Stay curious every week – The change of scenery keeps learning fresh and exciting.

Build deeper connections – Meet more mentors and friends across two cities.

Enjoy a built-in adventure – Travel between cities is part of the experience, with no extra planning needed.

Balance energy and reflection – Begin with the buzz of a metropolis, end with the calm of a smaller town.

Get more out of your program – More stories, more learning, more Italy — all in the same amount of time.
