Hospital and Outpatient Shadowing

The Milan program offers diverse shadowing opportunities, including surgical and medical rotations at leading healthcare institutions. Multimedica Group, comprising both San Giuseppe Hospital and IRCCS Multimedica, prioritizes innovation and patient care excellence. The San Giuseppe Hospital, founded in 1874, is a modern university hospital known for excellence in emergency medicine, hand surgery, and stroke treatment. Research-focused IRCCS Multimedica in Sesto San Giovanni, offers the opportunity to explore a range of valuable experiences for aspiring medical professionals, in fields such as oncology and neurology.

 

I.C.S. Maugeri (Fondazione Maugeri), dedicated to rehabilitation medicine for over 60 years, emphasizes holistic patient care and research. It believes in helping patients achieve their full potential, resulting in inspiring success stories. Milan-based fellows can also shadow at the Doctors in Italy Outpatient Clinic, offering valuable insights into the doctor-patient relationship and exposure to various healthcare careers outside the hospital setting.

*Note that program start date listed is always a Sunday and your housing is available from that day. The first day of shadowing is the Monday after move in day. The last day of the program stated is always a Saturday and housing is booked for you up until this morning. The last day of shadowing is the Thursday of that week. The last Friday is kept for final packing and personal tasks, therefore you can checkout on Friday instead of Saturday if that is preferable for you.
