A study abroad program in Rome that combines medicine and humanities? This is it.

This 5 week program includes both intensive shadowing at some of the best hospitals in Rome, and an engaging class at John Cabot University, a U.S.-accredited liberal arts university located in the lively Trastevere neighborhood, a short walk away from the Tiber River and many of Rome’s historic sites.

Located in the historic center of Rome, Italy, with a student body representing over 70 countries and more than 1000 visiting students every year, John Cabot University offers an exceptional international experience to college students looking to spend a summer term abroad.

You can spend your summer exploring Rome, learning, and earning credits. At JCU you will learn in small classes from professors who encourage dialogue and use the city of Rome as a learning laboratory, taking you out of class to see for yourself and learn while engaged with the world around you.

Thanks to the small classes and engaging teaching style you will be able to learn and be amazed by a city that has withstood the proof of time, even without any previous knowledge on the topic.

Campus life

If you attend the 5 week Doctors in Italy Fellowship Program your housing will be in the John Cabot University Campus. As the staff and students often say, when you study at JCU Rome is your campus. You’ll spend most of your time out exploring the mesmerizing city of Rome. The buildings where classes are held are all located in the Trastevere area, the place where most American and international students hang out, a fascinating neigborhood where cobblestone streets are full of coffee shops and restaurants.
