Hospital Shadowing and Seminar Class
The 4 and 5 week programs for credit offer you a chance to combine your shadowing experience with a seminar course offered by Arcadia University.

Shadow and make

This course is designed to make the most of your medical shadowing experience by connecting it to your academic goals and career path. Through interactive online sessions held in the afternoons, you’ll reflect on your clinical observations, explore intercultural work environments, and grow both personally and professionally.
You’ll get guidance on what to look for during your hospital shadowing and take part in group discussions and self-reflection to deepen your insights.
A key part of the course is a personal development workshop, where you’ll discover your psychometric profile and build intercultural awareness—essential tools for your future in healthcare.
You’ll also create a tailored application portfolio, including your resume, cover letter, public profile, and personal statement—perfect for grad school or job applications.

*Note that program start date listed is always a Sunday and your housing is available from that day. The first day of shadowing is the Monday after move in day. The last day of the program stated is always a Saturday and housing is booked for you up until this morning. The last day of shadowing is the Thursday of that week. The last Friday is kept for final packing and personal tasks, therefore you can checkout on Friday instead of Saturday if that is preferable for you.
