The Doctors in Italy Scholarships recognize and support students who have shown an international mindset and a passion for medicine, facilitating their participation in the Doctors in Italy Fellowship Program, a study abroad opportunity specific for their career goals.
Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are made available to selected applicants. If you wish to apply for a scholarship, check the requirements and procedure outlined below. Other forms of financial aid may become available throughout the year.
Merit Scholarship
$500/ 00
- GPA: 3.8 or more
- Deadline: March 23 2020
- Requirement: demonstrated committment to exceptional academic results
Diversity Scholarship
$1000/ 00
- GPA: 3.5 or higher
- Deadline: March 23 2020
- Requirement: contribute to the cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic diversity of the Program
How to apply
- Complete your application for a Doctors in Italy Fellowship Program, choosing between 2 week, 3 week and 5 week programs.
- You will hear back about your application and, if you are accepted, you’ll be invited within 2 weeks to enroll.
- Pay the €300 deposit to secure your spot and proceed with any following step you are invited to complete.
- Send an email in response to your invitation to apply, requesting to be considered for a scholarship, and specifying which scholarship you wish to apply for. You will receive instructions on how to submit the documents.
What you will need to provide
- A signed letter of request, with your full name and details
- A personal statement brief (up to 2 pages) describing how your life experiences have shaped your perspectives and values, why you are committed to a career in medicine and your plans after graduation
- Academic transcripts confirming that you are enrolled and current GPA
- A video (between 1 and 2 minutes in length) that explains what drives you towards medicine, what areas of medicine are you mostly interested in and why you choose Rome.
